We are happy to share our great news with you! We are working on a project of restoration of the sand beach in Sosua Ocean Village. Once it is done, our guests and residents will no more have to leave the territory of the community, because everything will be within walking distance from their places.

We have prepared a project of restoration of the beach and now the draft version is awaiting the authorities´ approval. Thanks to the modern technologies that we are going to use to implement this project, SOV beach will be 100% safe for swimming and will always stay in our territory unlike some other beaches in the area.

In Sosua Ocean Village we are doing our best to take care of the environment. We are closely cooperating with Ministry of the Environment and carefully studying all the possible consequences that our project of restoration of the beach may cause to the environment.

We have recently held the first public hearing with the participation of representatives of the city council of Sosua, Ministry of the Environment, Dominican Republic Navy, Hotels and Restaurants Association of Sosua and Cabarete, as well as Neighborhood Council of Playa Laguna, among others.

Our main objective is to develop the area around us. We believe that thanks to our new permanent beach we will manage to embellish this province, create new job opportunities and attract more tourists who will not only stay at Sosua Ocean Village, but also bring more income to all the small companies in Sosua and its suburbs.

As a result this will help change the image of Sosua both for Dominicans and foreigners. We all know the phenomenon of gentrification. Despite the fact that many people are trying to demonize it, we have to recognize that gentrification prompted revival and development of many towns in the United States and Europe. This is the effect we would like to create for our beautiful region of Sosua.
